Dave Vermilya/article on Camillus Town Shop
The Advocate
By David Vermilya
On March 7 the Camillus Town Shop reached a remarkable milestone. The program celebrated its 36th birthday. Many people claim it is the longest enduring teen program of its kind in New York State. Some say it may be so for the entire United States, particularly under the same leadership. And it is a tribute to the Camillus community that has supported and sustained a program that honors the interests of the youth population that is underserved in most other communities.

The trip was a wonderful chance for me to visit the small towns in Italy that my grandparents emigrated from in the early 20th century. The day we arrived in Berceto (southeast of Parma - in the mountains) there was a chestnut festival. My nephew, with whom I took the trip, had never eaten them before - he was unimpressed but -- loved the raspberry beer! It was a great trip; we saw Rome, Florence, Venice, and then flew home from Milan. My husband was unable to get away for the trip so Don and I went. Don is my sister's oldest son and is just a couple of years younger than me. We had a ball and I have not committed myself to going back and taking my granddaughter! This blog is great – thanks Debby for putting it together. Would love to attend a 45th – October would be great for me. Besides, fall is a beautiful time to be in upstate New York.

Post from Dan Sheedy
Hi Debby,
I'm vacationing with son Ben (20) in the Thousand Islands. We're building a new recording studio at my cottage so I can work from here during the summer. We're soundproofing now, then we'll do the acoustic treatment to the voiceover room, followed by tests to "tune" the room.
With some luck, we should be operational in a week or so (probably longer).
My wife and younger son Jon will be coming up Thursday. Jon is finally going to take his driver's permit test tomorrow.
The weather thus far has been very nice and it's getting warmer every day. Life is good.

Hi Debby,
How about an autumn reunion? Or if that wouldn't work out...what about scheduling it so that it falls on the anniversary of our graduation from
F-M? ...
I followed the link to the blog. I'm not very familiar with blogging, but from what I observed, it looks great and seems like a good idea.
We're still sweating out Regents tests with our son Jon. He had one yesterday and has two today, two tomorrow and one more next Wednesday. Yeesh! It brings back horrific memories.
Our eldest, Ben, just blew into town last night. He had a voice lesson to attend and will accompany his mother to a concert tomorrow night before joining me at our cottage for the weekend.
The weather here has been very nice this spring. Lots of sun and just enough rain. Very rare conditions for this area.
How are your dogs? Send more pictures if you get a chance. I love dogs (I have FOUR!) and would never be without one.
Have a nice day Debby.

45th Reunion
A 45th reunion would fall in the year 2011. Any thoughts as to what time of year we could have it besides summer?

Wow, this is great! Sorry we missed the reunion but we were off to Italy for a cycling vacation.
Currently living in Huntington Beach and retired from Xerox after 28 years.
The four kids are all grown and we now have three grandchildren and one on the way.
Planning on lots of travel in the coming years along with riding our motorcycles and bicycles every day...........
