John Jeffery Gates, 64 of Cicero, NY, died Sunday at home surrounded by his family.Born in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late John and the late Jean (Carr) Gates. John was a United States Air Force Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was Sergeant, employed by the Onondaga County Sheriffs Dept. K-9 unit, retiring after 32 years.He is survived by his wife, Donna (Sobello) Gates; two sons, Christopher (Toni) Gates and Matthew (Jeanna); 2 grandchildren, Jackson and Miabella; two sisters, Pamilla Bobilin of FL and Kristine Miller of NH and two brothers, Steven Gates of Syracuse and Gregg Gates of NJ.Friends my call Wednesday from 4-9 at the SEARS-MIDDLETON-JONES Funeral Home, 209 N.
