John Iliff Harris, 83, passed away Monday, March 31st in Ormond Beach, FL. Born in Poughkeepsie, NY on June 30, 1930; he served in the United States Navy, was a graduate of Cortland State University and received his Masters in Science from Syracuse University.
John, a former resident of Fayetteville NY, was a math teacher at Wellwood Middle School for 35 years. He was actively involved in the Fayetteville-Manlius Cross Country program and an avid Syracuse University fan. After retiring from Fayetteville-Manlius he moved to Albuquerque, NM where he lived with his wife, Judith.He is survived by his three daughters, Pamela (Michael) Myers, Jennifer Breter, Nancy (Coleman) Todd, eight grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many dear friends.
