Flooding all around us. Glad we're on a big hill. John's gun club in Pacific, MO is right near the Meramec River and is expected to be under water any time now. John and others worked all this week after work to remove traps and save what they could.
It's especially bad out west in our area because the Missouri and Meramec Rivers are close by and all the low areas are flooded. John's way into work in St. Louis has been greatly effected and he just informed me he'll be at the station all weekend because,"that is what I do."
Instead of a hunting or fishing widow I become a news widow.
We found our first tick of the season on Bailey. An ugly black one.
