George H. Bacel March 3, 2010 George H. Bacel, 89, of Lakeland, FL, died March 3. Born in Fayetteville, George graduated from Fayetteville High School. He was a veteran of the Marines and the battle of Guadalcanal. He was the owner and operator of Fayetteville Hairstylist for 30 years and retired from the Fayetteville Post Office. He was a member of American Legion Post 369, life member of VFW Post 7872, Emerald City Marine Corps League and a former member of the Fayetteville Lions Club. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lorraine; four children, Judy Schuth (Jack), Peter Bacel (Darlene), Carol Henry (Stuart) and Lori Bacel (Kevin Grems); a sister, Esoline Ketcham; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grand-children; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday at Eaton-Tubbs-Schepp Funeral Home, 7191 E. Genesee St., Fayetteville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Fayetteville. Burial with full military honors will be in Fayetteville Cemetery.
