Greg Bock

Gregory L. Bock
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Gregory L. Bock, of Stratford, CT, who died this week at the age of 76. Gregory was born in Syracuse, NY to the late John and JoAnn Bock. A graduate of Fairfield University, he also had previously attended Bucknell and Syracuse Universities. He was an army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. Gregory's long working career was as an auditor for several companies, including the Southern Connecticut Gas Company for over 30 years, and then later for Aetna and Pitney Bowes. Greg was a past member of the Germania Schwaben Club, Fayerweather Yacht Club, and the Elks. He was an avid card player and could be found playing pinochle most Monday nights at Fayerweather with his fraternal brother, Andrew Cross, and other great friends. He was a long-time fanatic about playing APBA Football weekly with his close friend, Charlie (Chaz) Schultz. On fall and winter Sundays, Greg was always rooting for his beloved New York Football Giants. A curious person at heart, he enjoyed reading numerous history books at home and while on vacation.
Gregory will be deeply missed by all his family and friends. Survivors include his beloved wife, Joanne (Ferreira) Bock, his devoted son, Christopher Bock and his wife, Tiffany and cherished granddaughter Evelyn, his sister Gail Garlinghouse and her husband Roland "Dugan", his brother John Bock and his wife, Mary and several nephews. Friends and family are invited to attend his funeral services on Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the Cyril F. Mullins Funeral Home, 399 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT. Friends may call on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service. To leave an online condolence please visit www.mullinsfh.com

News from Teri Guhin Ayer

Thanks for organizing the reunion again!

I haven't contributed to the blog previously, so
here's some info:

I've been living in Cazenovia since 1978 with my husband
David. We've been married 47 years.

I have a daughter who lives in CNY, a son in Illinois and
another son in Utah.

My husband I travel some- nothing grand in the last number of years-
but we enjoy taking long weekends to visit places within reasonable
driving distance. We both enjoy theater, so we have season tickets to
Cortland Repertory Theater in Preble, NY.

I keep busy with golf, volunteering at our local food pantry/clothes closet
all year and meeting friends for lunch during non-golf season.

We have a pleasant life, for which we are thankful.

Take care and be well.

Teri
