Debby Larus Doolittle

Today on the phone it was Pradeep for Adobe. I bought an upgrade for Acrobat Standard and found I could not use it primarily because it is so involved and complicated. But, since it was opened and used and registered and activated, Amazon will not take it back. So if I want to sell it and recoup some of the money I have to get a case #, a transfer of license, proof of purchase etc. Not easy. But I had to endure Pradeep for about a half an hour to get a case number. All this to make corrections to the class directory. I hate to bother Melinda with minor changes so I have been doing it myself. But since the new directory has been created I can't do that any longer. Now Melinda is trying to help me by converting it back into Word.

Sue Bon Walden

Had a nice, long note from Sue. She's been busy traveling and doing
some volunteer work in Colonial Williamsburg. She thought "long and hard"
about coming to the 45th reunion, but just couldn't work into her schedule.

Larry and Dana Craigie

Another lunch at St. Louis Bread Co. then Larry and Dana moved on to St. Louis for some business and pleasure. The pleasure was seeing their son Will and his fiancee Jill for dinner. An April wedding is planned. A little bit of work for Larry on Wed. then it's back to OK.

Ken Jacobs

Here's an update for the last 45 years!
I went to RPI after HS and majored in physics , dropping out in my sixth semester. Wandered around awhile and got drafted but not sent to ‘Nam like my brother Frank (who went directly from the Jesuits to a foxhole). Instead I was sent to Korea and worked on guided missiles. After military wandered around some more, got married and moved to NC where I built from scratch a 3 story house on 5 acres, (including chopping down trees and whittling them into exposed beams). Got divorced, became Pentecostal, got remarried, had two children, and started working at East Carolina University Physics Dept. in technical support. In 1999 there was a major hurricane (Floyd) and had to wade away from house with both children on my back, eventually enough water to flood attic.
Got new house (thanks to your taxes) and recently received my PhD in biophysics at tender age of 62. Dissertation was Development a Diffraction Imaging Flow Cytometer for which a patent is pending with my portion 30% . High tech startup is being attempted but machine has never really worked, perhaps never will, and also certain Chinese in our group would rather the technology went to their side of Pacific. My son is out of college and working, my daughter is in third year at UNC Greensboro, and I’m teaching physics and doing research.
Hope all is well with FMers of ’66.

Busy. Moved Business to a new location in May (Page & Lindbergh).
Acquired a business in January. Sold a couple buildings.
Debbie and I bought a condo in FL in July and have been down there twice getting it set-up.
Our Pastor at our Church retired at the end of June and I am on the call committee to find his replacement.
I am in my third year as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Grace Hill Health Centers in the city.
There is a lot going on there with the new health care acts rolling toward us.
Have been to Washington, D.C. the lobby the Missouri delegation in the House and Senate with an FQHC group from MO.
Debbie had a total hip replacement of her left hip at the beginning of September and has a trigger thumb operation on Wednesday,so that has kept me/us pretty crazy.
Three of our kids ran marathons this year, one has competed in two full Ironman competitions. Dad had to be there to cheer them on

Debby Larus Doolittle

This morning I spent 2 hours on the phone with a guy in the Philippines/Cisco reconfiguring my wireless router. It was very tedious since the 4 dogs were behind me cutting up and the call waiting kept activating plus I had to listen intently to understand what was being said.

I just got back from walking 4 dogs. I wanted Jethro, the male Lab, to run. I had him sit and the rest of us moved a distance away, this was in a big field. I called and he ran all right -- at me as fast as he could go. Of course I was flipped to the ground -- grass, and the leash destroyed my left upper hand. Am typing with just my right hand. My hand is swollen --  I've got an ice pack on it. I feel like something major happened to me. Not well. I called my husband and his response is always to laugh. He thought the visual picture of me flipping to the ground was hilarious. Aren't I lucky. I just can't take the time to walk different groups of dogs, but I know 4 is not good.

Sorry I missed the 45th. I was in Munich for an aviation trade show. Attached is a photo of Ronnee and me at the Lake Placid Lodge on our 25th Anniversary this year and a few others of the family.
Here is a quick snapshot of what the Chapman's are up to:
Dyke:
I currently work for Ascent Aviation Group, a subsidiary of World FuelServices. I sell motor fuels and data collection technology to theaviation industry. Five years ago I authored and co-developed a new
electronic fuel management system, FleetConnect, that is now gettinglegs in the industry and is deployed at over 20 major airports in the US. We are expanding to the international market place now and USAirhas adopted it for their fueling. I still am an avid motor racing fanand have created a Speed" bucket list I am constantly working on. Over the last three years I have taken the Bondurant 4 day Grand Prixdrivers course in Chandler, Arizona and qualified for my SCCA Competition License, been to the Barrett Jackson Auto Auction, the Bonneville Speed Weeks and this years Reno Air Races. On tap for 2012is the Pebble Beach/Monterrey Concours Show, Barrett Jackson, the Indy 500 (Pit asses), and the US Grand Prix in Baltimore. Ronnee and I traveled to Europe in 2009 and visited Lake Como, Italy, Venice,Kitzbuhl & Salzburg, Austria, Stuttgart, Heidelberg, Germany and finally Paris.

Ronnee:
My wife Ronnee, yes that is the way her name is spelled, two n's and 2 e's...is a Real Estate agent for ReMax here in Syracuse. We have been married now for 25 years, Anniversary date - August 16th. She is my constant companion and my soulmate...I am a very lucky guy!

Michael: 23 years old
Michael graduated from Belmont University in Nashville, TN in 2010. He is a very accomplished guitarist and musician and will be playing the BlueBird Cafe in Nashville this December. He is mployed at Asurian at their International Corporate HQ in Nashville as a Technology Analyst and Economic Forecaster. Doing very well and loving life.

Sarah: 21 years old
Sarah is a junior at Lemoyne College and is studying Neuroscience and environmental science. She is a licensed jockey and has ridden at Philadelphia Raceway Park for a season and the last two years at
Saratoga. She has spent time in South Africa in the Predator Relocation Program at the Kwantu Game Reserve and may pursue a South African Game Ranger License. Still lots of time for her to decide
which way she wants to go. We will all be together in Nashville to see Michael play in Dec.:):):).

I hope others post info to you as well...It is always great to hear what everyone is up to!!!
Best,
Dyke

Marsha and I just returned from her “big birthday” trip to Triple Creek Ranch in Darby, MT. (I’m not allowed to say which birthday it was). But anyway, we had a great time!
I had asked her months ago what she wanted to do for her birthday, including maybe a trip to Hawaii, but this is what she really wanted. Marsha seems to be happiest on the back of a horse, and this particular weekend at the ranch was themed “100 Clicks for Chicks.” You guessed it. Except for a few long-suffering spouses like yours truly, the weekend was all about a 3-day, all girl ride, totaling 100 km (60 miles) through some of the prettiest country any of us will ever see. But don’t envision a rustic, camping out in the snow experience. Wranglers trailered the horses to a new starting point each day, delivered the women to the trailhead in 4-wheel drive vehicles, cooked them a gourmet quality lunch with wines every noon, then picked them up late every afternoon and brought them back to their beautiful private cabins with steam showers, fireplaces, full bars and king-sized beds! It also didn’t hurt that the ranch includes its own 5-star restaurant and evening cocktail hour as part of the deal.

You can check out the ranch at www.triplecreekranch.com. It’s owned and operated by our close friends Craig and Barbara Barrett, and has become a popular getaway for the likes of Washington politicians, NASA astronauts, foreign heads of state, and industrialists like Bill Gates and Michael Dell. (FYI, Craig is the retired Chairman and CEO of Intel Corp. & Barbara was US Ambassador to Finland during the Bush 43 Administration. She currently serves on the board of the Smithsonian Institute.)

Linda Vandeven Beidleman

Debby
This is Linda Vandeven Beidleman. We live in Idaho Falls, Idaho and have been in Idaho for 21 yrs. We have 3 children, Andrea in Maryland, John in Idaho and Jill in Virginia. We have 5 grandchildren, 2 boys and 3 girls. We are getting ready to retire in a year or two and will probably move to Boise, Idaho where our son lives. It's milder climate in the winter!!!! Right now I'm subbing at Snake River Montessori School in Idaho Falls.
I haven't been back to New York in years. Jack's sister Laura lives in Ithaca part time and Cape Cod most time!! She is the only one left that is in New York .

Camp Tellman

My wife Lisa and I and another couple are driving to Greenville, SC south of Charlotte to enjoy Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band.  He is a fellow sailor and one of my favorite classical American rock and rollers. "Against The Wind" seems to be a recurring theme in my life.

Larry English

Heard from Larry today. He's headed to Key West for some R & R with his family. When back he starts training his replacement as head of  the company and then retirement in early 2012. More to follow.

"Hello Classmates. I was sorry sorry to have missed the reunion. I lingered over each of Debby's pictures of the festivities, and I must say that you are a great looking group! Regretfully, I missed the event because my mother had a major health concern that had to be managed. I am now back in PA and back at work, teaching kindergarten in Trenton, NJ. At the moment, it is still exciting to be a part of solving urban problems in education. Our school was restructured - kind of a house cleaning of sorts. Time will tell if we get results! On the home front, my daughter, Ingrid, is marrying her long time beau on New Year's Eve. I have included a picture of my sister, Paula, her girls and Ingrid (purple) and I at a recent wedding shower. No plans for retirement here...although I know that it must be around the corner! Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!"
