Roger Bornhurst Obituary

Roger Eric Bornhurst passed away in Syracuse on March 11, 2026 at the age of 78. 

He was born to the late F. Richard Bornhurst and Barbara (Wells) Bornhurst on February 3, 1948, the second of four children. He graduated from Fayetteville-Manlius High School and attended the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Roger lived a quiet life. He enjoyed music, hiking and biking in the mountains, and following Syracuse football and basketball. He worked at Lange Ski Boot Company in Boulder and C. A. Reeve Paint Company in Syracuse. 

He is survived by his brothers, Richard (Christine) of Santa Fe, NM, and Robert (Rachel) of Salida, Colorado, sister,  Cheryl (Roy) Trowbridge of Thompson’s Station, Tennessee, niece, Allison Trowbridge of Nashville, Tennessee, nephew, Adam (Dani) Trowbridge and great-nephew, Felipe Trowbridge of Washington, DC. 

     No services are planned. A private spreading of Roger's ashes will be held at a later date in Colorado. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.
