On the way in to the Needles we stopped to see a very well-known collection of native American petroglyphs at a place called “Newspaper Rock.” While petroglyphs are fairly common throughout the Southwest, these particular ones are so numerous and so clear that they have attracted anthropologists and symbologists from all over the world to study them.
