Jim Myers

Spent a very enjoyable Christmas in Norman, Oklahoma (think University of Oklahoma Sooners) visiting my wife Marsha’s son Tom Davis and his family… lots of time assembling toys for the rugrats, playing outdoor soccer and touch football, and generally eating and drinking (a lot). After a couple of days back at work in Phoenix we drove north to Sedona and spent New Year’s with retired friends who own a beautiful home up in the red rocks country. We took a long hike in a beautiful area full of streams, meadows, and red mountains on New Year’s Day.

Also wanted to share some good economic news for 2009 with anyone who’s interested: I have just signed a year-long contract with O’Reilly Auto Parts to write, produce, and be the primary voiceover announcer for all of their radio advertising during the coming year. This single deal should guarantee our economic security for all of 2009, and will only take about half of my available work days. With luck, it will be the beginning of a long-term relationship, and the financial base to expand my business for the next few years. Suddenly it’s fun to be an entrepreneur. Despite all the negative world news, life remains sweet in Arizona.

Happy New Year to all!

Jim
