Philip Hutchins Gott Sr.
February 27, 2009 Philip Hutchins Gott Sr., 61, of Cazenovia, passed away Friday. He was a lifelong resident of Cazenovia. Phil was a U.S. Marine, and a research and development engineer, formerly employed at Hollowick Inc. and Production Products. He was a devoted father and "Papa," an avid motorcyclist, loved dogs, rosebushes, physical fitness and was the ultimate "human encyclopedia." Phil is survived by daughters, Anne (Gott) Charron, husband Dave and daughter, MacKenzie of Clay, and Meg Nowak and daughter, Ava of Oneonta; son, Chris Gott, wife, Margo and daughter, Rebecca of Kirkville; son, Phil Gott Jr., daughter, Jacki and son, Nick of Cazenovia; and son, Mick Nowak, wife, Kim, and sons, Alex and Austin of Cazenovia. He was prede-ceased by son Dan Gott and grandchild, Bailey Charron. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tait Funeral Home, Inc., 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to American Legion Post #88, PO Box 263, Cazenovia, New York 13035.
